Halloween at the Museum
Join us this Halloween for a programme of seasonal festivities at the museum. Enjoy a themed menu in our café, discover a selection of Halloween products in the shop, and take part in a free, family-friendly activity on the day. We’ll also be open late, giving you the opportunity to visit LAIKA presents Wildwood: The Exhibition after hours.
What to expect
Join us for Halloween celebrations at the museum.
From Monday 19 October to Saturday 31 October.:
🧁Yummy treats: Enjoy Halloween-themed food in the Design Cafe (Ground Level).
🎃 Retail range: Discover an eccentric selection of ethically-sourced products available to buy in our Atrium Shop (Ground Level). Members enjoy a 10% discount.
On Saturday 31 October only:
🕰️ Late opening: On this day, our temporary exhibition, Design Cafe and Atrium Shop will be open until 20:00. Last entry is 19:00.
🎨 Create and make: Bring your young designers to take part in spooky craft activities inspired by the book 'Lost and Found in Mythology', in collaboration with Thames & Hudson , and supported by Cass Art. Entry is free, and no pre-booking is required. Pop in from 15:30 to 19:00 (Mezzanine Level). Visit our Halloween Family Drop-in page for further information.
🌟 Delve into the world of LAIKA: Visit our major exhibition LAIKA presents Wildwood:The Exhibition, open late on Halloween. Open from 10:00 to 19:30. Pre-booking your tickets online is recommended.

Halloween-themed menu offer
19 - 31 October
Bring your little monsters to enjoy a Halloween-themed menu offer in the Design Cafe (Ground Level). Choose from hauntingly delicious sweet treats or book the LAIKA Afternoon Tea in the Design Kitchen for a more immersive Halloween experience.
Opening hours:
10:00 – 17:00 Monday to Thursday (last food orders at 16:15)
10:00 – 18:00 Friday to Sunday (last food orders at 17:15)
On 31 October, the Design Cafe will close at 20:00 (last orders at 19:15)
Exhibition
LAIKA presents Wildwood: The Exhibition
After 20 years of masterminding animated cinematic classics, including Coraline and Kubo and the Two Strings, the exhibition will celebrate two decades of the studio’s approach to groundbreaking stop-motion filmmaking.
Focusing on Wildwood, the exhibition will trace the development of the film from early ideas and visual research through to character and environmental design, costume, puppet fabrication, rapid prototyping, miniature set construction, animation and cinematography.

If you'd like to visit the exhibition LAIKA presents Wildwood: The Exhibition, please book your tickets in advance. Please note that the museum will close at 20:00 on Halloween day, and the gallery will begin closing at 19:45. The recommended visit time for the LAIKA exhibition is at least an hour.
