the Design Kitchen opening hours:
- 12:00 – 17:00 Monday to Thursday (last food orders at 16:15)
- 12:00 – 18:00 Friday to Sunday (last food orders at 17:15)
Please note that the Design Kitchen will be closed to the public on Thursday 10 December 2026.
The museum will be fully closed to the public on the following dates:
• Closed on Tuesday 13 October 2026
• Closed over Christmas on 24, 25 and 26 December, reopening on 27 December 2026

the Design Cafe (Located on Level G)
Discover our new cafe located in the Atrium, where you can enjoy hot drinks, pastries, cookies, and iced drinks.
We are working behind the scenes to refurbish our shop and cafe spaces as part of the museum's Transformation 2029 plan, ahead of its 40th birthday.
Meanwhile, visitors can enjoy our new Design Cafe and pop-up shop located on Level G.

In need of refreshment and relaxation? Get inspired by the beautifully curated interior and surround yourself with floor-to-ceiling views overlooking the greenery of Holland Park. Designed by Matthew Williamson, this lounge-style space is the perfect place to recharge, reflect on your visit or spend time with friends and family.
With a variety of light bites, salads, sandwiches and more, there is something to suit every mood. You can also treat yourself to a glass of premium English Sparkling Wine from the Design Museum’s exclusive partner, Nyetimber, or choose from our wide range of hot drinks, soft drinks, wines and beers.
If you wish to book a table, please email thedesign.kitchen@designmuseum.org with the desired date and time of your visit (at least 24 hours in advance).
