Please note:
Our Atrium gallery is currently closed and will reopen on 7 April when Ai Weiwei: Making Sense exhibition opens to the public.
Pre-booking is recommended for paid exhibitions.
Our gallery spaces begin closing 15 minutes before the building closes.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
From 28 to 31 March our technicians will be working on the building of Ai Weiwei's 'Coloured House' installation in the museum's Atrium. Please be aware that during opening hours the area will be barriered off for safety reasons. Made of wood, paint and crystal glass, the house once belonged to a prosperous family in Zhejiang province, in eastern China, during the early Qing dynasty (1644 – 1911 CE). The artwork will be part of the Ai Weiwei: Making Sense exhibition opening on 7 April.
