What to expect

This event welcomes people of all ages and abilities to celebrate mark-making, sketching, drawing, making, and creative play.

Drawing is an essential part of Tim Burton’s creative process. It’s a key tool he uses to define and communicate wildly imaginative characters, worlds, and stories.

Get inspired by Burton’s playful approach and unmistakable aesthetic with an afternoon filled with self-led creative activities and facilitated workshops across the museum.

Facilitator

Josette Britton

Britton is a textile artist based in London. Her heritage inspires her work, growing up with both Iraqi and Irish influences. Spending time by the Irish coast has enabled her to draw nature from direct observation. Her work is also inspired by Irish folktales. Britton likes to create narrative illustrations and books that invoke feelings of magic and nostalgia. To aid the element of storytelling, she constructs hand-embroidered textile puppets and dolls.
