London Festival of Architecture 2026

What to expect

The London Festival of Architecture is a month-long celebration of architecture and city-making, taking place in June across London.

With activity happening across London, the Festival will once again be a platform for conversation, testing new ideas, promoting emerging talent, and helping shift us towards a more equitable, sustainable city. All Festival activity for 2026 will focus on the theme of ‘Belonging’.

Curator Tour of PLATFORM: Simone Brewster

Join a group tour exploring the stories behind 'PLATFORM: Simone Brewster', delivered by the display curator Hadeel Eltayeb, as part of this year's London Festival of Architecture.

BSL Tour: Architecture of the Museum and PLATFORM

As part of this year's London Festival of Architecture, discover the fascinating story of the museum building and our 'PLATFORM: Simone Brewster' display in this group tour for D/deaf visitors who use British Sign Language and their companions.

Future Observatory: Tools for Transition

Discover four research projects from across the UK that are driving change in housing, healthcare, local planning and resource management, curated by Future Observatory. Together, these projects show how design-led research can be translated into practical tools to transition into a greener future.

Future Observatory: The Stone Demonstrator

An off-site installation from the Design Museum’s Future Observatory research programme. The Stone Demonstrator is a low-carbon construction prototype, which puts pre-tensioned stone building techniques to the test.

PLATFORM: Simone Brewster

PLATFORM is an annual display dedicated to showcasing contemporary design practice. This second edition in the series presents the fascinating work of designer Simone Brewster.

Dwellings, Rehomed

Explore a collection of birdhouses by some of London’s most innovative designers. As you walk through this display, you'll also discover The Nest – an inclusive, sensory-friendly structure nestled among the trees, designed by our MA Curating Contemporary Design students from Kingston University.

The London Festival of Architecture (LFA) returns in June 2026 for a month-long celebration of architecture and city-making. LFA's mission is to act as a vehicle for change by making discussions around architecture more accessible, testing new ideas, and promoting emerging talent, all with the aim of creating a greener, healthier, and more equitable city.
