Business and Learning New Programme
Entrepreneurs Hub
Open to everyone regardless of age, background or experience, Entrepreneurs Hub is aimed at creatives from underrepresented backgrounds who may feel locked out of opportunities to develop their business ideas into viable concepts. The curriculum offers masterclasses in creative business skills, one-to-one mentoring from leading designers and entrepreneurs and access to the museum’s resources including a dedicated workspace and library.
Over 8 weeks, the first cohort of 15 participants who joined the programme in Autumn 2021 received a monthly bursary, mentorship, business advice and exposure to industry leaders.
Spearheaded by angel investor and Google Campus creator Sarah Drinkwater, the 2021 programme culminated with a live pitching event at the Design Museum to help secure funding and further support for the new start-ups.
The Entrepreneurs Hub programme seeks UK based founders or designers with proven grit and an early design-led business idea (either digital or physical). We are especially keen to reach those who may have had fewer opportunities to explore entrepreneurship and design due to socioeconomic barriers.
Applications for the 2022 programme will be announced soon. If you have any questions please contact entrepreneurs.hub@designmuseum.org
The Design Museum needs you! If you can, please donate, become a member or a patron - working together to inspire a new generation of designers and make the impact of design visible to all.
