The Wisdom Hour

Join The Wisdom Hour, a new creative storytelling space celebrating positive stories of ageing, facilitated by This Age Thing and Design Age Institute.

This event is now over.

What to expect

The Wisdom Hour invites you to the Design Museum for a cup of tea and the opportunity to listen, share experiences, and celebrate stories around getting older. From stories of growth and leadership, quiet moments, magical accidents, and adventures at every age, these sessions are anchored in the belief that sharing the unique and diverse experiences of getting older can help us design a world that works better for everyone.

For the first session, the facilitators invite you to bring a ‘wise object’ that represents wisdom for you. The object might represent a person, an experience, a memory, or an ambition for the future. There will also be a range of objects from the museum’s handling collection available to draw on for the session.

Refreshments will be provided.
