What to expect

How does sound relax us?

Do we listen with our ears or our whole body? Have you ever heard a sound that has brought you a sense of calm? Or even made your skin tingle?

Experiment with instruments, objects, and electronics to record, edit and mix your own ASMR soundscape. Discover ways to use audio effects and manipulate sounds to create and mix your own compositions. Explore sonic meditation techniques and relaxation with ASMR and understand how Binaural and stereo recording and effects can trigger ASMR response.

In this workshop, you will take part in a relaxing sonic meditation and immersive ASMR experience, and will create your own experimental compositions taking inspiration from objects, instruments and our new exhibition 'WEIRD SENSATION FEELS GOOD: The World of ASMR'.

No experience or prior knowledge in music-making or production is needed.
